I spent last weekend walking along several beautiful New Zealand beaches. Sam, my two-year-old, trotted along beside me, often stopping to pick up interesting bits of the tidal debris. One moment heu2019d hand me a smelly piece of seaweed, the next, a rather beautiful mother-of-pearl shell. To many of us, using the Web to search for information isnu2019t really surfing; itu2019s more like beachcoming. Type your keywords into a popular search engine, such as Google (which has full-text index of over a billion web documents), and you will be presented with hundreds or even thousands of possibilities.
